Like I Could Do Anything I Wanted…

Personal photo essay about living in New York City. I asked my friends to describe their first impression of the city when they moved there, and combined their stories as a stream of consciousness with my personal impressions in the images. 

This was part of my MFA thesis. It included an exhibition and a website, where the visitor would navigate sideways back and forth to read all of the stories. I shot most of the photos with a Russian 35 mm analog Lomo camera.
